WorklJob Descriptionoad
Description of the offer The Heritage Board Game Collection (FPJS) is a federative research platform of Université Sorbonne Paris Nord (USPN). It has been awarded the “Collection of Excellence” (CollEx) label by the CollEx-Persée Research Interest Group, under the supervision of the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research. Located on the Villetaneuse campus, this documentary space comprises nearly 22,000 board-game titles spanning from the late 19th century to the present day, as well as more than 5,000 role-playing games. The FPJS platform is jointly managed by the Edgar Morin University Library of USPN, the Centre Ludique de Boulogne-Billancourt (CluBB), and the EXPERICE research laboratory. The FPJS constitutes the reference collection in France in the field of games and is among the most significant collections worldwide. It is primarily intended to support academic research on games, while also contributing to cultural mediation and serving professionals in the field. The position is part of a project aimed at the enhancement and digitization of the Heritage Board Game Collection (FPJS). This project seeks to make game-related documents accessible online (rules, manuals, iconographic materials) through a digital library built on OMEKA-S. The successful candidate will play an active role in implementing the digitization and valorization project of the FPJS, working closely with research laboratories, the various departments of Université Sorbonne Paris Nord (USPN), and external partners. These duties will be carried out in collaboration with the Common Documentation Service (SCD) and under the scientific coordination of faculty researchers from the EXPERICE laboratory, in close connection with the FPJS office. On-site presence is required in order to work in close synergy with the stakeholders involved and to ensure continuity in the processing and enhancement of the collection.
